Ruben R. Ramirez, current El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame President would like to make the Hall Committee aware that Carolina Olivas Mendoza, an El Paso native and the sister of Hall of Famers Sal and Bernie Olivas has passed away at the age of 80.
Mrs. Mendoza had worked over the years with the El Paso Diablos, El Paso Chihuahuas and the Sun Bowl Association. She was also a well-known volunteer in northeast El Paso, especially with the Blessed Sacrament Athletic Association.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil/Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11th at Sunset Funeral Home – Northeast, 4631 Hondo Pass Dr.
Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9025 Diana Dr.
A Committal Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12th at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson Ave.
The Hall sends their condolences to the Mendoza and Olivas Families in this difficult time.
