The El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame is sad to announce the passing of Richard Ochoa on March 24, 2022 at the age of 90.
Mr. Ochoa is a 1993 inductee into the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame as he had a stellar football career at the University of Texas from 1950-1953.
Mr. Ochoa led the Southwest Conference in rushing in 1953 and the same year in the Cotton Bowl with the Longhorns, he was named the Most Valuable Player while also being selected All Southwest Conference.
